Advice Provost Marshal Gysi Kleinjung Manchester British Firm: we understand Mr.Kleinjung passenger by next mail Shanghai proceeding in @connection with firm's business.*

555 rote to us in letter Fo.39682/1915 as follows:-

*The Governor of Hongkong has now reported by telegram that he does not anticipate that Mr. Waldemar Heisjung will experience any dif- ficulties on landing in the Colony."

Despite the corroboration of his statements by the above-mentioned ables Mr. Kleinjung appears to have been treated with sont courtesy at Hongkong, and as a suspect. He writes to us as follows:-

POn arrival at Hongkong this moming Aug. 28th I was ordered at a moment's notice to paek ny traps and was marched off to the Police Station. After an interminable wait, certainly the best part of two hours my despatch box, attache osse, all my papers, private letters, even newspapers which I bought at Penang and Singapore, were taken from me to the head of the Police for smsmination. Later "I was omiled in, asked a few questions and told I could go. I need hardly say that the experience has been a most disagreeable one for me and has caused me immense insenvenience and much expense.
